Member Clubs and Committee agree format for COVID-19 Season

After consulting with member clubs and the committee, the league has decided to play 35 overs per innings to mitigate the risk of the virus and to also ensure the game remains competitive without putting on due risk to the players.

14 to 11 member clubs voted ( 1 abstained) in favour of 35 overs, although 8 out of the 10 Premier clubs preferred to play 40 overs the league has one format constitution and the committee agreed to maintain this consistency across all three sections and support the wishes of the majority particularly as out cricketing community has been affected the most.

The committee also supported the member clubs because of the lack of indoor facilities due to the decision taken by the ground providers to manage risk for their venues.

The league fixture have now been updated.
