Match Report – 12th May 2024

After a delay of 2 weeks we managed to get all the fixtures in during last week and the interest in both the match report and interest in the individual performance outstripped the first match report compared to last season. The webpage had over 651 views during last week, with 167 reaches on the league Facebook page. All match reports will be available no later than Monday Mid day every week.

Premier Division

AK Eagles continued their fine form and beaten Kashmir Dewsbury by 182 Runs. Batting first AK Eagles scored 270/7 in 45 overs and restricted Kashmir Dewsbury to 88/10 in 31.3 overs. For AK Eagles Shoaib Nasir scored 70 runs which included 10 fours and 2 sixes, Khizer Qadeer scored 63 runs including 6 fours and 2 sixes. Krutik Patel also contributed 47 runs for AK Eagles. Captain Ibrar Latif scored 48 runs Not Out for Kashmir Dewsbury. Ak Eagles bowlers dominated the whole game, they look to be a very strong team for Season 2024.

Darulshafa won by 107 runs vs Nafees. Hasnain Ali Yaqoob scored 49 runs which included 6 fours and 1 six and Shamsullah Dost scored 46 runs helping their side to score a total of 247/9 in 38.0 overs. For Nafees Zahid Mahmood took 4 wickets for 31 runs. In reply Nafees could only manage 140/10 in 22.5 overs.

Karmand restricted current champions Bhalot Strikers to 108 runs all out in 26.5 overs and chased the target successfully for the loss of 1 wicket in 13.5 overs, final score 109/1. For Karmand Captain Amer Ayoub took 4 wickets for 22 runs and Umer Farooq matched it with 4 wickets for 13 runs. Chasing the target of just 109 runs Karmand Captain Amer Ayoub hammered Bhalot Strikers bowlers and scored 67 runs off only 31 balls which included 10 fours and 4 sixes. Karmand at HOME have always given tough times to other teams and this was a very special performance by their Captain against a champion team, a champion Performance, hats off to Amer Ayoub.

Great Horton Sports batted 34.5 overs and scored 164/10 in reply Kings XI Lahore could only score 54 runs and lost the game by 110 runs. Muhammad Mahlab Mehmood took 4 wickets for 31 runs for Kings XI Lahore. For Great Horton Sports Irfan Hussain Took 4 wickets for 22 runs and helped his team to win the game with the help of other bowlers.

White Rose restricted Rising Stars to 113 runs in 37.2 overs and chased the target in 18.3 overs for the loss of 2 wickets, final score 114/2. For White Rose Naveed Malik scored 40 runs off 34 balls which included 6 fours and 2 sixes.

White Rose are now on top of Premier Division Table with 52 Points after 4 games. AK Eagles are on No.2 position with 50 points. Darulshafa and Kings XI Lahore are on No.3 and 4 positions respectively with 37 points each.

Crescent Section

Rajput vs Bradford Moor was won by Rajput who batted first and scored 170 runs in 40 overs. In reply Bradford Moor could only manage 131 runs and lost the game by 39 runs. For Rajput Ahsan Alishan scored 52 runs off 66 balls which included 1 four and 4 sixes.

Diamond scored a decent 180/10 in 42.1 overs which was chased by Bradford Riders in 30.3 overs for the loss of 3 wickets. For Diamond Ustad Mohammad Sheraz scored 58 runs off 98 balls which included 9 fours. Captain Adeel Ashraf also contributed 52 runs off 82 balls which included 6 fours. For Bradford Riders Nasir Mahmood took 5 wickets for 33 runs, excellent spell. For Bradford Riders Moosa Azad scored a brilliant century and scored 131 Runs Not Out off 96 balls which included 15 fours and 8 sixes, great batting. Hard work in Nets is paying off for the batter Moosa Azad who is aiming to score more and more runs for his club.

Brighouse Warriors restricted Indus Bradford to 180 runs in 42.1 overs and chased the target for the loss of 5 wickets in only 30.3 overs. For Brighouse Warriors Captain Ehtisham Ud Din took 4 wickets for 39 runs. Chasing the target of 180 runs Hassan Akhtar scored 60 runs off 68 balls which included 10 fours. Sohail Akram scored 44 runs off 78 balls and both helped their team to win the game. For Indus Braford Mohammad Atif took 4 wickets for only 11 runs.

Nathia United 1st XI won by 61 runs vs Heaton Park. Batting first Nathia United scored 208/10 in 39.4 overs. Waqar Doulat and Sameer Ashraf scored 43 and 41 runs for Nathia United respectively. For Heaton Park Waqas Butt scored 42 runs Not Out off 38 balls which included 6 fours. For Nathia United Kashif Ashraf took 4 wickets for 34 runs.

Batley batted first vs TABS and scored 226 all out in 36.2 overs. Wasim Raja Scored 44 runs, Kohar Akhil 55 runs, Saurabh Deshmukh scored 58 runs. Batley then restricted TABS to 8 runs ALL OUT in 7.1 overs. ‘Its a League Record, Congratulations to all at Batley’. For Batley young Samee Arshad took 5 wickets for only 5 runs and Kohar Akhil claimed 5 wickets for 3 runs. Both destroyed TABS batting line up and TABS had no answer to theirs powerful bowling. TABS have a lot of youngsters and hopefully they will recover from this heavy loss of 218 runs in upcoming games.

Jinnah Section

In a very close game AQ Khan won by 16 runs vs Nathia United 2nd XI. For AQ Khan Muhammad Haroon scored vital 39 runs off 28 balls which included 5 fours and 2 sixes. Muhammad ABDU UR Rahman took 4 wickets for 28 runs for AQ Khan and helped his team to win the game.

Hanover continued their fine form and beaten Wakefield Stars by 150 runs. Batting first Hanover scored 285/7 in 45.0 overs. Khail Ullah Khan scored 142 Runs Not Out off 83 balls which included 13 fours and 5 sixes. Wicket Keeper Batsman Saad Khan of Hanover scored 67 runs for his team. For Wakefield Stars opener Qasim Hussain scored 50 runs. Khail Ullah Khan claimed 4 wickets for 13 runs in 5.5 overs. Great All round Performance, Well DONE.

In other games in this section Leeds Stallions won by 7 wickets by restricting Mayfield to 72 runs all out in 30.2 overs. Mirpur Royals beaten Khan cc by 4 wickets. Ghourghousti beaten Yorkshire Lions by 52 runs.

STAR Section

United Friends scored 342/6 in 45.0 overs and restricted Gemini Falcons to 209 all out in 30.2 overs in a high scoring game. United Friends are a new team to the league and already proving how good they are. Their Captain/Wicket Keeper Batsman Soaham Kadam scored a Brilliant 102 off 84 balls which included 12 fours and 2 sixes. Aniket Rana scored 61 runs, Priyank Koli scored 76 runs which helped United Friends to score 342 runs. For Gemini Falcons Mortimer Fraser scored 97 runs off 39 deliveries which included 6 fours and 9 sixes but no one else matched his batting from Gemini Falcons. Aniket Rana claimed 4 wickets for 60 runs for United Friends, great all round performance.

In other games in this section Brighouse Qalandars won by 5 wickets vs AMY Northeast. Friends beaten Northcliffe by 93 runs. Leeds Stars beaten Bradford United in a very close game by only 8 runs. Well Done Leeds STARS.
