After a frustrating week last week, we had some good weather today and some interesting results.
All top four clubs in the Premier Section won and maintain their position from previous week, AK Eagles, Whiterose and Bhalot Strikers all won comfortable, whilst Karmand secured a narrow margin of 9 runs win over Kings XI Lahore who remain in the relegation zone. Rising Star chased Kashmir’s target of 191 in just 28 overs with the loss of 7 wickets and secured themselves a 3 wicket win to take them to mid table.
Bradford Riders continue to maintain 1st place at the top of the Crescent Section as they beat by 3 wickets with just one over to spare. Diamond surprised us today as they beat Bradford Moor by 4 wickets in the 37th over and for this week takes them out of the relegation zone. Mid table match between Batley and Heaton Park was won by Batley who chased 161 for the loss of 7 wickets. Rajput move into 2nd place as they won by 128 runs against Brighouse Warriors. Bottom of the table tie between Indus Bradford and Tabs went to the wire as Tabs won by just 2 wickets.
The race at the top of the Jinnah tables continues to be tight as all the top three clubs won today, Hanover won by just 3 wickets, chasing a low target of 119 against Nathia United B. Wakefield Stars also won, they beat Leeds Stallion by 56 runs and Mirpur Royals won by 38 runs against Mayfield. Both Wakefield and Mirpur Royal maintain pressure on Hanover for the top spot to gain promotion to Crescent Section. Khan won by 81 runs against AMYA North East to stay in mid table.
Brighouse Qalandar maintained their lead at the top of the Star Section table, they beat Bradford United by 7 wickets as they chased their target of 141 runs, United Friends keep the pressure on Brighouse Qalandar as they secured a win over Northcliffe. Ghourghushti beat Friends by 45 runs, Ghourghushti batted first and set a target of 206 in the 45th overs before being bowled out. Friends only managed 161 when they were all bowled out in the 41st over.
